Messianic Hebrew and the Nation they live in
A. Are Messianic Hebrews to disobey the laws of the country they live in?
Everyone has to obey the laws of the country in which they live. Other wise they will find themselves in prison or dead. In every country there are laws which are strictly enforced to some and not others. Then there are laws which are not enforced to anyone. These are sometime old laws which no longer apply or just so out dated that they are overlooked. Some times there are laws that can be gotten around by doing something just a bit different. But at no time will we are do we tell anyone to break any law of any country. Yahuah puts, or lets, the leaders of all countries in power for what ever the reason.
B. What if a Messianic Hebrew law is in odds with the nations law?
In the event a Law is in conflict with a nation's laws look at both of the laws themselves. Ask is there a legal way I can do both at the same time with out breaking either. Here I will give an example. In the United States it is against the law for a person to have more than one wife at any one time. What the United States recognizes as a legal wife is not the same as what Yahuah recognizes as a legal marriage. In the United States a person is married to two or more people when they have a marriage on record in one or more counties at the same time with out being legally divorced from the pervious marriage first. Yahuah's Law says you are married when you both consent to being married and live as man and wife. Therefore it is possible for a man to have a wife who is legal according to the United States law and others who are not legal according to United States law but which the Congregation will recognize as his wives. However a word of some importance here we do not encourage such things, as a man and woman have enough trouble getting alone without introducing a third party into the formula. On the other hand we don't forbid it either.
C. Who's Laws are the Messianic Hebrew to put first?
Yahuah's Laws come first regardless of the out come even if it means being put to death. Now when it comes to a law made by man any man, obey the Country's law first if at all possible.
D. What should a Messianic Hebrew do if he can't follow both Messianic Hebrew and the Nations laws?
This would be a very tough decision on the person who finds themselves in
such a situation. The best situation we can offer is to move to another country.
In the event of such a case and we can verify the situation and provided
we have the funds for it we will try to help the person or family relocate
to a place where they can follow both. This is also why we cherish the "Freedom
of Religion" so much in this country.
